The Black Bull Hotel & Restaurant is situated in the picturesque village of Wark.
The Black Bull Hotel & Restaurant was purchased in August 2014 by David Haley Limited and was purchased to restore it to it’s original glory. Dating back to the early 18th century it has been used as an inn ever since.
Wark on Tyne is a small village in Northumberland, about 12 miles (19 km) North of Hexham. The name is derived from the Viking word for Earthworks, and refers to the mound at the South of the village, where a meeting hall once stood. Wark was also once the capital town of Tynedale, and still retains a Town Hall, rather than a Village Hall.
Visitors to the Hotel & Restaurant will find themselves surrounded by the fantastic scenery of the beautiful Tyne Valley, and only a stone’s throw away from one of the wider stretches of the Upper River Tyne.
The Black Bull is the perfect place to stay whether you’re just passing through, enjoying the great outdoors or in need of a relaxing and peaceful getaway.
